She had felt it safer to call the ambulance. She'd helped many an animal give birth to their children, but this was different. She had wanted to take no chances. She'd been quiet on the drive, giving her sister silent support. Once at the hospital she had paced, waiting for the doctors to say she could go inside before walking into the room.
Smiling she took a seat besides her sister and set a hand on Echo's brow. She knew that now they needed to have patience and just wait. It was probably the hardest thing. "You'll be fine, and I'll be right here." Smiling she took her sisters hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze.
