As Datura makes her unsteady way back to the bed Belladonna follows her, and when the other Drug is settled she sits, perching herself on the edge of the mattress, and listens with a patient smile and troubled eyes to her sister's fevered whispers.
"Hush, love," she murmurs, smoothing her sister's sweat-dampened hair with a gentle hand. "It's only giving up if you let it take you. Remember yourself, Dhatūrā. Remember what you are, and hold fast to it."
She only looks up when she hears Tea's returning footsteps, by which point Datura's breathing has slowed and her eyes are closed - not sleeping, Bella thinks, not yet, but close to it. Her eyes meet Tea's, and they are grave. "I've never seen her so bad."
