Liam was, quite frankly, flabbergasted. This was the woman Alastair was dating? This goddess who claimed she owned him? He had been friends with Alastair for ten years and he wasn't going to step aside for some alcoholic goddess when his best friend was on the line.
A rather unnatural and unflattering shade of red coloured his cheeks, and the roots of his hair started to redden as well. It was all he could do not to explode into a full-fledged, buckle-shoed, red-headed, tiny and angry version of himself, screaming at the blonde goddess in a high-pitched voice about how she was a meanie head who was just being mean.
Instead, he said rather lamely, "I wasn't claiming him! He cooks me dinner! What do you mean he came back to you, this is bullshit!"
