Compared to the last meeting Bret had with a pair of Tommy's parents, he wasn't nervous in the least. And he trusted Tommy to dress him well enough - somehow managing to look casual even though he was dressed to be potentially not-casual. It was all a matter of how his hair was messed - total bed-head - instead of the way it was usually smoothed back. And he thought he looked alright for going to meet an activist and a television pundit. If Tommy said they were cool, though, Bret was confident that everything was going to be alright. And the drive over was relatively loose and easy, with Bret playfully singing along with the radio the whole way over, trying to make Tommy smile and blush as much as he could - stealing kisses at every red light.
Once they were there, he still wasn't feeling anxious at all. He was all smiles and sweeping Tommy into quick kisses on the way in, trying to get as much of him as he could before he had to pretend that he wasn't head-over-heels for the other boy. He smiled when he heard Harvey's voice and playfully nudged Tommy - giving him that bright smile that always meant he thought things were going to be alright. And he wasn't going to mention how totally adorable it was that Tommy called Harvey Papa.
"Hello again," he said, shaking Harvey's hand. "Yeah, much nicer conditions this time. The total lack of broken class is, let me tell you, a relief," he joked, smiling. "I'm good though - been up since five because my parents' flight landed at seven, so I'm going on caffeine and radiance at this point, but it's good. How are you? Did Harv invite you to the show tomorrow night?" he asked, feeling ridiculously at-ease around the other man.
