Who: Music family, media gods, friends of Indie and/or Blues, Johnny's family and friends and all of their respective +1's (Tag yourself if you were there.)
What: Indie and Blues' second wedding ceremony.
When: Sunday, August 29th
Where: The Foundry, Long Island, NY (Interior / Courtyard)
Warning: Who the heck knows with this lot? But if you cause drama, Indie will hit a bitch.
For all that the preperation was last-minute and mostly kept secret from the bride until what seemed like an absolute desperate last moment, it seemed that four of five music gods could indeed throw together a wedding without anyone turning into a diva. When some hitch did present itself, Indie consoled herself by knowing that she'd already had her perfect wedding and this one was for her family. But everything had been handled, somehow. All she had to do was show up, put on a dress and go through the motions once more. So that's exactly what she did.
There were no wardrobe malfunctions, no pieces that didn't fit right or had to be squeezed into because, naturally, Indie had made everything herself so it was as perfect as it could possibly be. The flowers, which had been Twila's duty, were perfect and whatever musicians Blues had lined up were in place by the time everyone had taken their seats and the wedding party - Evan and Tom, then Twila and Byrd - took their places and an anxious Jazz ushuered Indie into place, still fussing over her dress before she was shooed off to go back to her seat.
Indie was fine, really, she was more than fine - she was perfect. As she glanced to the side and gave a Punk a small smirk, still amazed that he was standing there, she knew that anything could go wrong after this and she'd still be happy with the way the day had turned out. She looked down at where Blues and her family was standing, taking a deep breath and feeling only slightly more anxious to get it on with now than she had been in Vegas. And then the music started...
The rest of the wedding went by in a blur, exactly like their first wedding except that it ceremony wasn't being done by an Elvis impersonator and there were actual bodies in the seats. She couldn't stop grinning the entire time and for a deity who generally frowned on open displays of strong emotions like that, it was something else. Anyone there could see it, the fact that the only thing in her world at that moment was Blues. Her family was around her, this had all been thrown together relatively stress-free and it had come off without a hitch. It wasn't any huge lavish ceremony, but it was something public - something that the media could latch onto, something that would have pictures and memories and stories that people could tell - something that eloping to a 24-hour Vegas chapel didn't have for them.
Hopefully the reception would go just as smoothly, she thought. Then again, with their family, there really was no telling if it would end in everyone drunkenly singing songs that no one really remembered the words to or if they were going to get kicked out of and then banned from the venue for fighting. It could really go either way and, as she slipped one arm around her husband's waist to head into the room where the reception would be held, she realized she didn't really care which way it went because it had already been perfect.
OOC: Kat, I need the name of the venue because I forgot to ask you for it last night. Send me an offline IM with it if I'm not online. Updated with link to/pictures of the venue!!
