Patrick laughed so hard at that he had to hold on the David so he didn't fall over. "I love you," be said breathlessly when he could. "The pretzels are fine if you're not adventurous enough to try the fake meat." His grin was impish. "I'm going to do it! I'm going to eat fake...whatever it is! Because I'm brave!"
Patrick looked towards the park which was still a few blocks away. "We can walk in the park! The museum is across the street, but it hardly makes sense to walk on the street side when the park is right there! Walking sounds good." Patrick was hungry, but he was also used to getting along with life even when enduring such a thing. He could last until they came upon some sort of food cart. And if push came to shove, there would be a cafe in the museum. He was just glad to spend the time with David, no matter what they did.
His life was shaping up now. George and David were back in it. Friends were coming out of the woodwork. Maybe David living with him for a while was good. Maybe he could use the company to stop drinking so much. Because with his life so full, surely he didn't need it any more.
