Now, that was a strange answer. Jamie didn't think his question had been that loaded or loaded with anything at all but the Greek seemed to have heard something else entirely. Conversations with Ares were tricky because for everything he said there were at least five things he didn't say and it threw Jamie off. A lot.
He watched Ares turn away, raising invisible walls again, and shook his head. "Then you should leave the pills to those who need them instead of filling prescriptions and letting them go to waste," he said as he slipped back between the sheets. Lying on his side, head propped up in one hand, Jamie traced the lines of the tattoo on the Greek's back still mildly fascinated by the notion that someone would willingly put black ink under their skin.
"And get out more. Holing yourself up inside all day can't be good for the mood."
