Moonstone, trapped light caught and crafted by his hand. It did seem right somehow and she had thought so when first he presented it to her. That was long ago though, and it was payment, he had said.
Hecate had to wonder what sort of magic it was that brought her to his cab at this time of night, what sort of things were being set into motion. It id not matter, he could drive on auto-pilot and she would be his passenger. Streetlamps and moonlight altered the light within the back of the cab in flickers of gold and silver, yet the only continuous light that seemed to touch her was the light of trailing cars' headlights reflected in the mirror in a line that illuminated her eyes and nothing more. She watched him in that mirror, studied the differences that she could see in the darkness, in the shadows, could see via the mirror.
"Thank you." she replied and visibly relaxed, seeming to become a part of the darkness within his cab. She did not so much disappear as she did blend with the atmosphere, as if she belonged there. At his words, she did.
"Then I will remain with you for as long as you wish to drive me." she replied, calm and soft. It didn't matter where they were going, or for how long. She had nowhere to be and was not yet tired, as nocturnal as he was. He had cut his hair, but his eyes, they seemed more hungry still and she did not know why, but she was fascinated by them. Her eyes watch his own, his face, almost always ready to meet his gaze when he glances into the mirror. There wasn't any specific question she had to ask though, or any thing of import she had to say. The differences didn't matter, only his eyes did.
