His face was different and it had been a long time since she had even seen it. His eyes were the same, somehow, different in appearance, but the same. There was also just that subtle feeling of it being him, when she met his eyes. Her hand lifted, touched the moonstone pendant she wore at her throat. She could see the others dangling from the mirror, so similar. Somehow she had thought hers was unique and it caused her own eyes to lower, a flicker of a frown to tug at her lips.
She hadn't told him where to go, nor does she seem to care what direction he's driving in. She doesn't bother buckling up, or lighting her lantern. It is dark within the cab and she embraces that darkness. It is her time, it is his. She is comfortable within it and there was a gentleness to it, like a caress, that she didn't want to break.
"Yes." she replied to him softly. "and you as well." came the response, though it really seemed unnecessary to let him know that she recognized him as well. "If..I am unwelcome, consider me a fare like any other." Those wide eyes turned from the rearview mirror once more to glance at the passing cars outside, swerving away, seeming to close in as he moved through traffic. Hecate did not get along so well with his brother, nor had she ever had a problem with his tendency to use older language or to remain silent altogether. They were both quiet creatures, at least, she thought so. "Where are we going?"
