Harvey laughed as Tommy blurred past them to attach himself to Glibt's side. That kind of enthusiasm was reserved for the young, he thought, and if there was one thing that made him think Tommy's personal cause would result in success for him it was the fact that he saw the same passion and dedication that he saw in Glibt when the man was still Cris. It was refreshing. He watched the exchange, fairly sure he had some idea what went on between them at the end of it and waved to Tommy as he made his way back to the tutoring room.
"Tell me about it," he sighed, shaking his head a little. "Though they say you're only as old as the people you surround yourself with..."
And as if on cue, Paul came out from the second office, zipping up his bag with his cell phone tucked between ear and shoulder and a series of uh-huhs followed by "No, that's fine. Yeah, switch it to Tuesday/Thursday..." he glanced at Harvey and Glibt and shrugged defeated, mouthing the word school as he fished the apartment keys from Harvey's bag and made his way out the center in front of them, intent on getting a head start.
Harvey watched him for a moment, trying to wait until he was out out of earshot before chuckling at him. "So," he said. "Something about booze? It can't possibly be anything but a good night now." He lifted up his bag and slung it over his shoulder nodding towards the door. "I hope you don't mind walking - it's only two blocks. And a lot of stairs, but I'll be gentle on you and let you take the elevator..." said the man who was actually forty-something years older than Glibt.
