At the sight of her pout, Narcissus walked, still with the self-assured swagger, to join her on the bed. Moving toward her, he slid his hand under the hem of her shirt resting it on her bare, taut skin. Ever since he'd first been able to feel it, he delighted in the feeling of Bastian kicking and pushing against his hand and, recently, watching him move around under her skin. It made all of it seem that much more real. "Calm yourself, Bastian." he said softly, pressing gently into whatever part of his son was against Echo's stomach. He looked up Echo, a smile on his lips.
"You really do need to sleep, though, Echo." Narcissus said, still stroking her stomach though his voice had gotten just a bit sterner. "What do you think would help? Your tea? A massage? I read in one of the books that us having sex can calm the baby down. Its the endorphins from orgasm and the rocking that does it. Or we can just lay here, if you aren't feeling up to it." In all honesty, Narcissus was tired himself. It was hard to sleep when he had so much on his mind as far as preparing for Bastian's birth, and even harder to sleep when Echo was awake beside him through the night.
