Even taking a real vacation, one that involved what mortals would call fun and relaxation, simply didn't apply to Athena. She could put on the facade, but anyone who was close to her would surely be able to see past that. It didn't matter as long as she didn't act on her desire to help every time she saw an injustice or wrong-doing. Acting on impulse didn't suit her, anyway. Deciding to take some more time off and coming to visit had taken a few days, and that in itself showed her own need to plan ahead.
Though he had sat down, she made mo movement of greeting just yet. She wanted to finish scanning the last page one more time before conversing. It was almost another five minutes before she closed the paper, folded it, and set it down in front of her before she looked to him with a smile. There seemed to be nothing to worry about, for now.
"Good morning. I trust you slept well?" Words a host should be asking and not the guest. Of course, he was family in her eyes so she didn't see herself quite as a guest but more as a child inquiring about the well being of a parent.
