Who: Athena and Triton Where: Triton's home, Hawaii When: Backdated to August 18 Rating/Warnings: None
Though her stay had been a relatively quiet one, that was how Athena preferred it. It gave her time to think, to be around those who truly mattered to her, and to relax. That was something she did not have time for in her life, especially not back in the city that never slept. Even the current career path she had chosen had its ups and downs. However, when she was able to escape that for any given time it was a blessing and one she did not take lightly. She would be returning at the end of the week, though she wanted to stay longer. New York City was not technically her city, but while she resided there it was under her protection. Any time spent away meant possible clean-ups and having to fix problems. Thankfully, she had not had any recent disagreements - if you didn't include some words with Arachne and another unknown woman.
For now, her mind was far from that. She was here with the one person who had ever truly shown her what it was like to simply be a daughter. Even if she was not actually Triton's flesh and blood. It was how he presented himself. That did not make her any less loyal to her father. As far as she knew there was nothing wrong with her having a second father figure, as there appeared to be no dispute between the two gods. Therefore, she felt there was no disloyalty. All that aside, she was happy to be somewhere far from her troubles or responsibilities. That did not mean she was not anxious not knowing how things were going without her.
As she sat at the table, cup of coffee in hand, she skimmed through the morning paper. Though she appeared to be doing nothing more than reading snippets here and there, she was really looking for signs of possible troubles.
