Who: Datura and Tibetan Snow Lion Where: Queens Botanical Garden When: Saturday, August 2010 Rating/Warnings: Bad day for Datura?
The Snow Lion had domain over the east, where the sun rose, and the earth over which people walked. He liked to think he had domain over plants too, at least a little bit. They were born from the ground and he did have a lot to do with that. Besides, flowers were nice. He liked them.
Do you know what else he liked? Free things! And do you know what was free today? Entrance to the Queen's Botanical Garden!
And while it's true that if a deity wanted to visit a garden there was very little that one could stop him, Dga' was a pretty law abiding citizen. He would have felt guilty sneaking in. He didn't however, have any problem ambling off the public walking path and into the flower beds. It turned out to be more of a crawl really, especially when the lion-be-child decided, for whatever reason, that he wanted to explore the fragrant underbrush of the Perfume Garden. But honestly, who was going to tell a lion where he could and couldn't go?
