Smirking, Pan tucked a wayward strand of hair behind her ear before leaning in to press a kiss to her forehead. He stayed there for a few seconds, lips still lightly pressed against her warm skin as though afraid when he pulled back, that would the last time he'd get to touch her. Considering their situation, that wasn't much of a stretch. It took a remarkable amount of restraint and courage to retract himself, his featherlight touch cascading down her neck with the motion, and slip his hand into hers to lead her to the kitchen where their Chinese awaited.
Maybe this would only worsen things. Maybe after this, there was a chance they would never see each other again. But as always, there remained the off-chance that that kiss would be the one thing to help them figure out whatever mess they were in. Pan hated looking to the future and rather preferred to live in the now instead of being afraid of tomorrow, and so he tightened his grip on her hand, enjoying the moments while they lasted.
"Hungry?"
