The moment her arms came around his neck, Pan relocated his fingers to her hair, marveling in the soft texture when he found a second to process a thought. His other hand skirted across the rough skin at her elbow, over her bicep and across the curve of her shoulder, eventually hovering at the crease where her dress met skin. Shame how Echo had been the one to initiate the kiss. His sense of pride chastised him for not sweeping in to steal it for himself, but now in the heat of the moment, he was too preoccupied to care.
Pan lazily traced up the column of her neck with his fingertips, settling at some point at her nape as he returned the kiss with equal fervor -- until she pulled away. He felt a little frazzled when her lips disappeared, but when the heat returned against his neck, those talented caresses stroking along her opposite arm.
And then the heat was gone, and they were eye to eye. If she was looking for answers, he wasn't sure he had any of the coherent sort. In fact, if anyone was to have questions, it was him, but he kept silent on the matter.
Instead, all Pan said was:
"So what's the verdict?"
