What started out as a little act of defiance on her part quickly became something that was out of her hands. Arms moved of their own volition, settling loosely around his neck as she groaned softly against his lips. Her tongue darted out tentatively, probing at his mouth and seeking access even as she closed her eyes against the sensations flooding through her system. She hadn't expected to have this reaction to one kiss, but then again she had never kissed Pan before. This had to be some kind of a sign.
Echo heard herself whimper quietly as she pressed even closer, the more rational part of her brain intoxicated by his taste. Her hands began to slide down his back and along his sides, settling for eventually resting at his waist as she pulled back just enough to smile up at him, eyes still closed for the moment. Her entire body was shaking as she sucked in a quick gasp of air, swallowing hard as her fingers gripped his shirt. Dropping her head softly against his shoulder, she was unable to stop the smirk from coming to her lips.
When had she forgotten how to breathe?
A small shudder passed through her as she snuggled closer. Pan's skin was warm under her lips as she instinctively began to press small kisses to his neck, not wanting to separate herself from him just yet even though she had an idea of what might happen if she didn't. It didn't make sense that being like this with him felt just as right as it did with Narcissus, except different. Better, like once all was said and done she would never have to doubt where she stood with him no matter what. That was the thought that jolted her out of her reveries, finally giving her the strength to step back and let him go. Searching his eyes for answers, her mouth moved as she tried to form the words to ask him that simple question.
What had just happened, and what did it mean for them?
