Who: Death and OPEN
What: A relaxing ride
When: Thursday afternoon
Where: Riverdale Riding Club
A visit to the country club always managed to do wonders to improve Death's day. So he suited up, in oddly historically accurate breeches and a more modern sports jacket, donned a helmet, and headed for his favorite club. He owned several beasts in several clubs across the country, but his favorite mount, a pitch-black Arabian called Marduk, was housed in New York. There was something very relaxing to grooming, to assembling the tack, saddle and bridle. On That Day, Death wouldn't need such mortal trappings, but the effete fascists who ran the country club would have frowned upon bareback riding without a bridle. Death didn't press the issue. As he led Marduk out of the main stables to the arena, he brushed shoulders with an aged groundskeeper. In thirty minutes the man would suffer a fatal heart attack. Death sighed as he mounted his horse. He'd have to keep this short, then.
Death put Marduk through his paces. Two circles 'round the arena, then they'd turn to pole-work. Death was particularly fond of dressage, and Marduk was specially trained for those petite, dance like movements.
