It's the Mother who finds him - Atropos had just ducked into a nearby McDonald's, because after a very nice family dinner in a very nice restaurant the only thing that will satisfy her is a dollar's worth of soft serve. Clotho's gone with her, while Lachesis had opted to wait for them outside. She lets her eyes wander idly, seeing but not really looking, but when they reach Alex - shivering against a wall and looking unhealthily pale - she feels something in the back of her mind stiffen like a thread that's being pulled taut. A moment later he's on the ground, retching.
She reaches the man's side at the same time as Khaos. It's a surprise to hear her grandparent's voice, enough to make Lachesis falter momentarily. But practicality quickly takes over - there's time for reunions later - and with a nod of acknowledgment to the other deity she crouches down by the still shaking man. She doesn't waste time asking if he's alright; it's obvious he's not. Instead, she reaches into her handbag for the bottle of water she usually has with her (a Poland Springs bottle, though it's tap water inside because Lachesis is sensible and likes to reuse these things) and offers it to the fellow. "Do you have anybody here with you, dear?" she asks gently.
