He was her son, her baby, and much as she liked it or not she knew he got his defiant will from her. She could remember the trials and tribulations she had put his father through before they married, and couldn't really be mad when it became apparent that their son was such a fighter. Perhaps one day he'd find a balance she'd be happy with.
"Then we should get you fed," she declared, standing up and offering her hand to him in a tone that clearly stated she wouldn't accept any argument. Thetis would have understood if he chose to drag out the situation, however she would not have allowed it to last for long. He may be taller that her, but he was still her son.
"I know, and I'm here now." She took the initiative, moving around the desk to embrace him. He sounded so lost, but she would stay as long as it took for him to find himself again.
