“I wouldn’t dare make fun of you,” she replied, her smile widening. She couldn’t tease him about his age without making fun of herself, after all. Her own age was something she was proud of, though. The word ‘ancient’ had a nice ring to it.
Perhaps Ares had changed a bit since she had seen him last. He certainly seemed less hostile, although violence still followed him around like a dog at its master’s heels. She couldn’t remember him ever sounding so... sentimental. It was nice, although a bit unnerving. A few centuries could really do a number on a person.
