The wince on Echo's face would have clued Narcissus in that she was feeling poorly if he bothered to pay attention. She could feel his gaze on her and would have smirked if not for the goal-scoring-caliber kicks she was experiencing. Once she was seated with a pillow behind her, she offered him a tight smile before pushing on her side for a few moments. Closing her eyes, she reached out for his hand and pressed it against her ribs so he could feel how strong Bastian had gotten while he had been away. She highly doubted he'd appreciate his ribs being used for soccer practice.
After the momentary baby bonding with Narcissus, she shifted to lean towards her left side. "Warm welcome..." she repeated, with equal vehemence while glaring a look that spoke volumes about how hurt she felt. Putting the phone on the table she ignored it, somewhat amazed that he would expect her to just accept living in a house she had no part in choosing or decorating. She had honestly believed that he understood she wanted to be involved in the important decisions.
