Knowing that Apollo would actually be coming had Hyakinthos in an incredible mood, able to ignore the stares he and his mother were getting since he refused to let anything bring him down today. He wanted Clio to be as happy as he was feeling, but he understood with everything that had happened that there was lingering emotional scars there.
Still, as they got everything prepared to the point where all they needed was Apollo to arrive it was getting obvious that Hyakinthos was excited. He was usually energetic, but he was clearly having trouble sitting still. He could never have imagined that he would get to see the Sun God again, and as the moment of his arrival grew closer it was all Hyakinthos could do to not spontaneously combust.
Smiling brightly when Apollo approached, a light blush coming to his cheeks at the God's actions. "Hello, Apollo. Thank you for joining us." He cleared his throat, trying to all the world to act like the man he believed he had matured into, and not the boy that had been killed all those years ago.
Gesturing at their picnic set-up, he couldn't hide the giddiness he felt. "It is a beautiful day, and we figured a picnic was as good a way to celebrate as a three-day long festival." He paused, smiling softly at Clio. "Right mother?"
