"Okay, that's fine," George reassured her. "Just relax as much as you can. We'll deal with that when we come to it."
He settled back on his heels, still trying to decide the best course of action. Jo had confirmed that him admitting he'd been there when she was killed was exacerbating the burns, so there was that to think about. George wondered if him being here now was making it even worse.
"Jo," he said gently, "do you want me to go in the other room? Am I making it worse? I want to stay with you, but if you don't want me here..."
