"Yeah, well, at least she knows where she's got it from." Jamie didn't even bother hiding the grin as he watched the small screaming lump roll around on the floor. It was moments like this that made all his worries evaporate and flooded him with an odd and inappropriate sense of pride for the little goddess. He wouldn't know what to do if Izzy were one of those girly little girls he'd seen many times on the street with their equally girly mothers.
Bending at the waist he picked the child up, holding her in a way that made it impossible for her flailing hands and kicking feet to cause any real pain. "C'mon, it's nap time. We can continue this discussion later."
