Her little face was scrunched up and her fingers were wrapped so tightly around that blanket of hers that her knuckles turned white. "Yes, I see," Jamie said, laughing a little as he unstrapped his daughter and lifted her out of her seat to set her down.
One of the hands went straight for his leg. "If 'mommy' keeps that up, she'd better keep a close eye on her phone, and you," he added, reaching down to remove the source of unwanted creases, "should keep a strong grip on blanket."
