Blending in with times was something Poseidon only did with fashion. He couldn't really go walking down the street in a toga, or even with his trident. While he loved attention, stares reading 'who the hell is this freak' weren't what he was looking for. At all. He could deal with changing his clothes every decade or so. As for his 'old man' typical appearance, Poseidon had long ago dropped it. The women weren't too flattered when a saggy bearded old man stopped by. He was cute in The Little Mermaid, but no woman really wants a Santa Claus look-a-like.
Shrugging, Poseidon thought about what Wrath said. "Yeah, University students love Greek Mythology, but they find us to be simply myths. With Christian Gods, and the likes, it seems to be easier for them to believe in only two Gods; the Sky and Underworld, or Heaven and Hell, sorry." Poseidon still often slipped up when it came to modern religions. He really just couldn't let go of his own pantheon. "I'm sure you'll always have followers, Death scares mortals, and Christianity is the most likely religion to turn to."
Sighing at Wrath's words, Poseidon nodded slowly. "I suppose, but I've seen these Gods come and go. Humans quickly bore and tire of things. Guns, as you say, are ever changing. I'm sure eventually humans will want lasers or rocket launchers instead. I think some New Gods understand they have a limited time, and do what they can when they can. Selfish little bastards they are, though."
Once again, Poseidon found his eyes lingering around Wrath's fingers. She was enticing, and Poseidon was loving every second. Young men often talked about wanting 'experienced' women, but they had no idea what that really meant. "Yeah, looks that way these days at least. I can't stand all the fisheries and sea-food places popping up all over though. It seems that these days I can't walk down the street without seeing something of mine being ripped to pieces." Following her fingers, Poseidon felt a strong urge to get out of here, this grungy little place, and into a more classy area. "Wanna go somewhere, maybe somewhere will a little more water?" Poseidon often spent his days in parks, and although many fountains and rivers were freshwater, they were still water.
