Who: Iapetus and Mnemosyne Where: The Steel Hill When: May 24, early afternoon Rating/Warnings: Possible language from Iapetus
Iapetus was hardly ever on time. He liked making people wait or him, no matter who it was. He’d make his own mother wait just long enough to wonder if he’d forgotten or just wasn’t showing. This little meeting was no different. He would treat his sister just as he treated most others: With indifference. Yes, he cared for his siblings. They were important to him and he would protect them if necessary, but his time was valuable and he didn’t like wasting it with small talk.
Today was no different than any other day, apart from this meeting with Mnemosyne. He was usually at work or traveling for work or trying not kill his mortals; they could be so very troublesome. At least he hadn’t killed any of them… yet. He couldn’t guarantee they’d survive until the next month if they did anything completely idiotic. Then again, most others were absolute imbeciles in his mind.
But never mind that.
He arrived at the Steel Hill ten minutes later than he’d said and did not appear worried about his late arrival. His actions were calm and he appeared to simply be looking for someone before spotting her. She looked completely out of place in such an atmosphere. In fact, Iapetus looked like he didn’t quite belong. However, he let off an air of don’t-mess-with-me and his sister… well, she was a pretty face amongst a crowd of rough mortals. Such a face was easily underestimated, he knew that.
After ordering a scotch, he sat next to her without so much as a hello. “And what is it my dear sister has been doing as of late?” He had read enough over journals to know something had happened to some of the Mousai, but he wasn’t about to get involved. Apparently they were fine now and he saw no reason to ask about them. They were alive. He didn’t need to go kill anyone.
