Who: Alcohol and OPEN Where: A pub in Boston When: Eveningish Ratings/Warnings: TBD
Alcohol loves New York City. It truly is the city of the future, as far as she's concerned. Of course, Chicago will always have a special place in her heart, but for the time being, NYC is where it's at.
Tonight, however, she's not in the city she currently calls home. Tonight, Alcohol is wandering along the streets of Boston, a little nostalgic perhaps, but still all business. It's not the bright lights and beautiful people of the hippest and trendiest clubs that she depends on. They help, certainly, but Alcohol's favourites are the average, everyday people: the blue collar worker who frequents his neighbourhood pub every evening after a hard day's work, the soccer mom who needs that glass of wine while she's preparing dinner to get her through yet another stressful bedtime routine, the man in middle management who pops open a beer to wind down with the sports recap. Those are her people.
She wanders into a small Irish pub situated on a quiet corner in the outskirts of downtown - which one in particular she doesn't know; no one can keep track of all the Irish pubs in Boston, not even her – and settles on a bar stool near the door. She doesn't look like she belongs here, she knows. That's the point. Alcohol wants to be noticed, adored. Worshiped.
The only unknown is how long it will take to work.
