Jude hadn't been exactly enthusiastic about this part, but they had agreed that Jo's asthma act would be an effective draw--Sebastian had lost his memory but not changed in essence, a sympathetic man.
Waiting in the car wasn't going to work, too confined a space, so he'd been waiting at the bus-stop next to the car, inconspicuous enough and playing idly with his phone. When Jo staggered up to the car, leaning on Sebastian's shoulder, it looked natural enough for the bystander to glance up and gawk a bit, then approach with the shuffling gait of I don't know if they need anything, but... The street was quiet, thank God.
It was amazing how close people would let you get when they were distracted by something else, and Jude managed to grab Sebastian by the back of his collar and slam his head against the car door, the hard ridge along the roof.
