With Ares' disappearance, normality returned. Or rather that what was normal before Ares showed up returned, which would have been fine if normality didn't have that strange habit to change and replace itself, rendering the previous normal state, well, not normal. So saying that it became a lot more quiet would be a more fitting description...
Roughly one month after the Greek's vanishing act, he popped up again in a strange state of mind and just as Jamie got used to the idea that they were done, a bag of cookies turned everything over again. After all that had happened, he probably ought to get used to the fact that stability was no longer a permanent resident in his life.
Talking to Ares on the phone was familiar and not thanks to whoever wiped the Greek's memory clean, but it hadn't been as awkward and weird as it could have been. He'd been promised no wrestling, no punching and no flying bottles this time; aside from that Jamie had no idea what to expect and that was fine, too.
The first thing he noticed when he entered the room was that Ares looked different. "Hey," he said with a light smile, "you look better than last time."
