Well maybe I'm blind, just throwing darts in the dark. Who: Ares (ares_godofwar) and National Security (absolutecontrol) What: This near-life experience scared me to death. Where: Room 621 When: Monday night Warnings: None?
Ares was starting to realise what exactly he had lost when he opened his eyes and found himself dropped back into a world he wasn't able to recognise. The Greeks he knew - he knew them for thousands of years and he remembered being with them for the past two centuries - but everything else was just a blur.
A blur was actually quite good. It was a complete blank before, and he had to painstakingly piece everything back together. It surprised him how many people he knew, and how much he had integrated and assimilated into American society. He read over the things he posted on the internet to learn more about himself as well as the people who talked to him, and the idea that he actually had 'friends', whatever that word was supposed to mean, from other pantheons and places, was starting to become less and less strange.
It was a bit awkward now since Ares had learned that the stranger in his house before was Jamie, and he'd slept with Jamie on numerous occasions, and they'd spent a lot of time together talking about stupid things and doing pointless things together. But at least Ares felt comfortable talking over the phone with the not-stranger, and the phone conversation wasn't filled with that many awkward silences.
He'd ask to meet, and he said okay. Apparently this hotel room was where they spent much of their time after work if they weren't passed out in the office, but as with everything else, this Greek couldn't remember any part of it. Ares didn't feel like the same Ares that was here before, and he didn't know if Jamie still wanted him if he was like this.
