A fraction of a second before his grandson opened his mouth, Zeus appeared behind the maiden-turned-monster. A hand dropped heavily on the back of her neck to keep her down, and he did it all, wearing the calmest of smiles on his face as if this was something they did every day.
"It's such a pleasure to finally meet you," he said, mild amusement apparent in his voice.
"GRANDPA!"
"Don't move, grandson, and I'd appreciate it if you didn't move either, Medusa. Concentration and multi-tasking become a lot harder when you're as old as some of the rocks around here, you know?"
