Who: Jazz, Folk, Indie, and Blues
What: Jazz and Folk believe everything they read want to check up on two of their dear family members. Indie and Blues prepare for invasion welcome them.
Where: Rancho de la Luna, Joshua Tree, California
When: Late Tuesday evening
Warnings: TBD
Not many people would read a potentially incriminating and possibly untrue tabloid article about one of their relatives, who happened to be across the country, and think "Well hell, I'll just drive over there and ask them 'bout this!" Even fewer would attempt to make the drive from New York City to Joshua Tree, California in a little less than two days, not stopping (except in Indiana, Missouri, and Utah to pick up a couple packs of cigarettes and gas up the car). That left... well, except for the crazy speedsters who did this kind of thing just to break records, Jazz. Once Folk expressed interest in coming along, she wasted no time bundling her older brother and his guitar into her car, a blue 1966 Corvette convertible, before pointing it westward and breaking several traffic laws in the process.
It wasn't her fault they set the speed limit at 30 miles under what she felt like doing. Didn't they know she had a brother and niece (who, if the paparazzi were to be believed, was also now her sister-in-law) waiting for her in California? So Jazz floored it on the open road at noon on Monday, and by late Tuesday evening they were pulling up in front of the Ranch where Indie had said she and Blues were.
She threw the car in park, stubbed out her last cigarette, and bounced into the ranch like it was her own house. Didn't matter none who else was there; Jazz could feel her brother's presence as familiar as a favorite sweater wrapping around her, and the bright shiny notes of Indie were there too. Like a bloodhound on a scent she moved through the house, poking her head into doorways and going down hallways, until she found them. "It has been entirely too long since either one'a you graced me with your presence," she began innocently enough, leaning back out into the hallway to wave Folk over to the right room.
