Jord noticed the other deity, the Christian one, talking to the son of Loki, and she might have frowned had she not been in the throes of such tremendous power. Regardless of power gained, she would never dream of taking on a Christian deity. There would be no need to, however, the goddess was sure of that. As for the wolf, he was a shadow of his former self, just as any Norse deity was, and Gleipnir was no longer needed to restrain him. She gave Adonis a reassuring sort of look; she would explain it all to him later, but not when they were surrounded by this many people.
She noticed the quirk of his eyebrows and she accidentally giggled, not something she intended on doing, but very difficult to suppress in this highly charged environment. As usual, her words could have had a multitude of meanings, and she knew that his mind had probably flown to several, and it amused her. But she pulled herself together when he agreed and leaned closer to him to keep anyone from overhearing what she was about to say.
"Runes..." she whispered, "You can dedicate all of this in my name. And you are a god, which will make it even more empowering....like this..." she reached over and traced a blocky pattern on the top of his thigh, a prayer so familiar that even thousands of years after it had been used, it still flowed from her fingers like water. "On the underside of the table, while I speak...just the same thing over and over. Can you do that?"
