Of course. Just because he was extending the courtesy to Sloth didn’t mean he expected her to do anything with it. It was a much safer bet to assume it would be he who decided what would happen. They were already in his car heading towards his place…….that alone was evidence enough of how they each worked.
They had much in common, in one way - being the demon of and actually being Sloth - but they were also very different, no matter how much Belphegor liked to cultivate the image of being lazy, even-tempered and almost friendly. Belphegor did enjoy doing nothing, and indulged as often as possible, but he was also the one who’d had control over Sloth - there was no controlling him with the sin. Using it was down to an art in his hands.
Capable hands, if you asked him.
Faced with Sloth’s decided lack of opinion or responsibility, Belphegor sat back and did much the same. They could talk later. He was in no rush, had nothing else in particular to worry about. There was only one thing he felt he had to say before they reached their destination.
“If you fall asleep before we get there, you will be bodily moved from this car up to my place.”
