The sun was warm, which made the day a lazy one. Curled on top a bunch of trash, that she'd somehow made into what resembled a hill The Sphinx was happy to laze the day away. She'd already dined, the remnants of her prey strewn about her, so with a full stomach the sun only aided her in her nap.
On days like this, she missed her wings. The draft she felt would have been glorious to soar on. she did not like this human shape. But she was too lazy to complain right now. Like any cat, she slept more then might be good for her. Besides the duty she was bound to keep, she had nothing to call her away.
She was left alone, even the most black hearted mortals had learned to see her warnings and leave her be. The last one who had dared put his hands on her she'd strangled with particular glee. She'd made a warning out of it, and was left unharmed.
with a yawn, the Sphinx rolled onto her back, soaking the sun into the skin of her stomach and waiting patiently and lazily for the next prey to cross her.
