Much as Daphne agreed to help him Apollo could tell that she truly didn't want to. He could have recognized that she wasn't thrilled and allowed her to beg off, but she had already agreed by that point and quite frankly he felt it was a bit ridiculous that for all her talk of wanting to actually work past Eros' curse she couldn't be honest with him.
He would have actually had a little respect for her if she had been able to tell him that she really didn't want to, or that she wanted him to leave. However, she couldn't, and for that he felt as though she deserved whatever happened. He didn't want her to end up beyond repair, just to learn a lesson.
Following behind her, he glanced towards where he had last left Ate, feigning interest in what Daphne was looking for. "Is everything alright, you're looking around quite hard."
