Pride and Ambition. Dangerous by themselves - with each other, only worse.
"You have nothing to offer me. Likewise I have nothing to offer you." In all honesty, Cronus knew well enough the realities of war. Loyalty, honour - they meant little when so much more was at stake. Soldiers surrendered at the slightest threat, generals swapped sides whenever they felt like it and the winners simply didn't care either way.
But Cronus - well, Cronus wasn't running a brothel. Times may have changed, and the playing field might be different now, but whores to Zeus were not welcome here.
Besides, they were hardly at war now. No sound of metal clashing against metal, no war cries, no old women crying alone in their homes far away from the battlefield. Just old men and women determined to fight until they drew their last breath.
"You needn't have come all the way here to insult an old man like me when you could be entertaining the ones you serve. Go home. Go back to straddling that high fence of yours - the view would be magnificent from up there."
