Watching Magnus as he approached the squirrel, Echo shivered slightly as a strange chill seemed to fill the air. Glancing up at the sky she didn't notice a change in the clouds or anything, but for some reason she felt a little colder. Her grip on the dog's leash slackened as she checked her phone, thinking it was time to head back home so Narcissus wouldn't worry.
She didn't even notice something was wrong with the squirrel.
Hearing Magnus yelp, Echo snapped back to reality and stopped thinking about Narcissus long enough to see the blood and finally get that the squirrel was sick. That frothing around it's mouth couldn't be a good thing, and she wasn't sure what she could do. She'd have to take Magnus to the vet, but it wouldn't be right to leave the sick squirrel running around either.
As she debated what to do, catching a squirrel wasn't going to be easy, especially not one that was possibly rabid, she tried to reign Magnus in. Then there was the baby to think of, she couldn't afford to get bit either. Completely fixated on the situation at hand, she had no way of stopping her dog from hitting the man.
Instantly apologetic, Echo's eyes widened as she tried to tell the man she was sorry, quickly signing out the words.
