This had definitely been a good idea. While it was far from the official gathering of all nine Mousai that everybody quietly yearned for, just seeing some of her sisters again had put a goofy smile on Terpsichore's face all night. The modern re-envisioning of The Bacchae wasn't the pinnacle of masterpiece theater, but it had been a fair bit of fun for everyone. Plus, being the only people in the audience to understand the snippets of Ancient Greek in the chorus was always a bonus. But now group had moved to a nearby bar, a place cheap enough to have good beer and darts, but far from a dive.
For her own part, Terpsichore had noted with interest the small karaoke set-up in the corner of the place, and wondered exactly how drunk Erato would have to be to take a whack at it. Probably in the vicinity of alcohol poisoning, regretfully, or on pain of death. In the present, she settled for ordering the first round of drinks for everybody and thanking whoever had decided to ban smoking in bars.
Terpsichore returned to the small, scratched table with a tray in hand stacked with beer, shots, and a margarita for herself. Passing out the drinks, she held up her own and toasted, "To weird theater and family!"
