It was safe to say, that in all aspects Epona was lost. She'd been within the country for only a few decades, and even with her stable just outside of the great city she had never truly visited. She didn't quite remember if she had always been part of city life. Her earliest memories had always been looking over her horses, within the stables. Even when the Roman Cavalry brought her all over Europe, she didn't remember much of city life. She remembered battles, remembered the Alae and Equites Singulares asking her to protect them and the horses. She remembered waiting for those who had fallen, those that fell under her domain, and guiding them to the afterlife. But cities, those she did not remember well. Brief flashes, maybe.
But she didn't mind getting lost. It seemed more an adventure then anything, or a great way to learn of a city she knew so little off. The hustle and bustle of it all was a bit aggravating, but she could ignore them. Everyone was rushing to get to one place, then the other. Epona liked walking on her own time, having no rush to get anywhere. This was not her world, and many of the noises made her skiddish and frightened, but she couldn't ignore it either.
Her eyes took as much in as humanely, and divinely, possible. Despite all the bright lights, the city had its beauty. But it was not the only thing she was looking for. Someone had told her you could find any culture in New York, and she wanted to know if those of her home land had found their way. She had a tiny hope to see Rhiannon, or even Brigid, but she was also aware that there were other Gods, and godlings alike, within this city. While she liked keeping to herself, she also wanted to meet others. She had half a mind to speak to one of the many mortals who passed her by, but they seemed in such a rush.
With a sigh, she paused and watched. She'd never been good at starting conversations, and perhaps for now watching would do the trick. The fact that it could be considered odd for a young woman to just stare at people didn't enter her mind. In her opinion, you could learn everything from just watching.
