Who: Automobiles and Big Oil What: "Catching Up." When: Sunday Afternoon Where: Texas, outside the Valdez Ranch Rating: OMG, so R.
As far as Automobiles was concerned, she didn't need to respond to anyone's beck and call. Not anymore. But there were certain courtesies that needed to be maintained for business... and pleasure.
Big Oil had always been a bit of both. And a month or two was long enough without 'reconnection' - she hoped that staying away accomplished exactly what she intended. But now, she was in the mood for a rough-and-tumble, and she didn't see any reason to deny herself the joy of something fierce and wild...
So she drove from New York down to Texas, her engine purring with anticipation and never once slowing down for anything save the necessary refills. And when she finally reached his exit, Billie was exhilarated. Nothing like a good drive on the open road. Somewhere between his exit and his home, Billie morphed the car into a racer - fast and streamlined - and floored it, windows down, up to his driveway where she came to an abrupt halt on well-tended breaks and revved her engine.
Blaring the horn, Billie stuck her head out of the driver's seat and hollered, "Brent! Get on out here!"
