"Roast..." Echo repeated, nodding as she pulled a paring knife out of the drawer and got to work cutting up various vegetables as she listened to Daphne and Narcissus. Offering him a grateful smile when he started cutting the meat, she gathered some spices from the spice rack and waited to hear how he'd respond to the idea of moving up to the mountains. She couldn't figure he could have any objections, other than the whole uprooting his life just to make her happy. That might be a hard sell.
"The idea of it?" She fumbled the pepper mill, catching it as she glanced over her shoulder at him. "Have company?" She blinked for a moment, slightly confused. Wiping her hands, she grabbed her phone, turning on the text-to-voice option and typing a message. 'You like the idea, but would you come too? I wouldn't want to go without you, Peanut wouldn't like that!' Oh sure, all the books said that she couldn't feel the baby yet, but Echo had a bond with her child, and knew that if she ever was away from Narcissus for too long Peanut would not be happy. Then she'd get indigestion, or get depressed herself.
