"It's good that you've seen them," Apollo responded, thinking for a moment. "I'm thinking about having a get together for all of you Mousai, so I can catch up with all of you. Maybe someplace nice, catered..." He knew, but felt it would be awkward to comment.
He wasn't in the mood to get into the argument he knew she had gotten into with Clio, not when things were going so well. Instead, he smiled softly and took one of her hands, squeezing it slightly before letting it go. Laughing at her comment, he refilled his own glass and took a sip, nodding at her observations about the situation with Eros and how ridiculous things had gotten thanks to a childish prank.
"When has he ever seemed inclined to take responsibility for anything he's done? Not when he has both of his parents rushing to defend him. It's incredible that nobody has taken him to task for his actions before now, and I can't help but be sad that it was some upstart new god who found himself able to do it." Apollo was bitter when it came to Eros, since the little jerk had affected him twice now.
