Twee lowered her head a little at Johnny's comment and sunk down into the chair next to Apollo, pressing her hands between her knees. It wasn't planned at all and at first she couldn't see it as anything more than the worst possible timing ever. But now that she was starting to think of the future and make some kind of tentative plans (even if they were just as complicated and confused as they ever had been), she couldn't help but feel really excited and almost elated about this. She wasn't ready, she felt like it might have been the most reckless thing she'd ever done, she was just waiting for the consequences to roll in... But she didn't have a single regret.
"He's offered to let me live with him," she said, "once the baby comes. I have no intention to quit school or to quit making music and the doctor said that I can keep performing as long as it's comfortable for me. So... it's going to change things, but not negatively. I just didn't feel right keeping this a secret from you any long - and it was really Apollo's insistence that we tell you all sooner rather than later."
Indie was still trying to form words in response, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed and an unamused look on his face. "How long were you planning on keeping this a secret?" he asked.
Twee just bit her lip and shrugged, "As long as possible..."
Sighing, Indie stared down at the floor and shook his head. "I'm not disappointed that you're pregnant. Your dad was almost half your age when you came around so it's not like any age is too young for us to spawn. What I'm disappointed about is that you didn't think your own kind was fit and you had to go," he looked at Apollo, "elsewhere."
Twee's brows just furrowed. "My own kind? I'm sorry if I can't separate the fact that they're family from the fact that you'd rather I keep it in the family. But Apollo understands music. My music feels alive when I'm around him." He wasn't the only one that happened around, but he was the only one who mattered right now.
