Twee was the first to her feet when the knock came at the door. Her heart was suddenly beating faster than it should and she had to stop herself for reaching down and placing her palm over her stomach. With a deep breath, she made her way back across the living room to the door and pulled it open.
It was almost a relief to see him. But at the same time it made everything suddenly completely real. "Come on in," she said, reaching out for his hand and drawing him into the room. "You've met my parents already, at the Halloween party..."
To be honest, Emo had been a little unsure about what this family meeting was all about until Apollo walked through the doors and suddenly it hit him. Twee had told him about her condition earlier in the week and while it had taken some time for it all to sink in, he wasn't real keen on keeping the secret for any longer himself. He wasn't disappointed in her, though maybe she expected him to be. He didn't really know how to process it at all any further than the idea that he had to pull himself together and be a good parent for her now - which was, he knew, exactly why she had chosen to tell him. It wasn't the thing that kicked him out of his funk, but it had given him the motivation to force himself out of it.
"We've met," Indie said, glancing skeptically between Twee and Apollo.
