Having spent the last week with Emo pretty much glued to his side, Johnny had been a bit surprised by Twee's post. And, if he was honest with himself, a little bit guilty. He'd seen her in passing, but how much attention had be paid anybody for the last few days? It was all for his boyfriend, all to help him get out of his censorship-induced funk and back to himself. That being said, the guilt and surprise weren't nearly as prominent as the sinking suspicion that this was not going to be a meeting solely for the purpose of family togetherness. Twee was the most easygoing kid he'd ever met; if she was calling emergency family meetings then some serious shit was about to hit the fan.
So with some trepidation, he seated himself on the couch and watched Twee sit down. "Bigger than the four of us? Sounds like someone's been keepin' secrets." Looking from the girl to her fathers, Johnny stood back up and walked into the kitchen. "I reckon I'm gonna need a drink 'fore this is all over. Anybody else want one?" he asked, though he was already pouring out two glasses of whiskey without thinking about it. One very generous portion for him, and one slightly more reasonable portion for Emo. He took both back into the living room and set them on the coffee table in front of the sofa as he resumed his seat.
Somehow, when it came to this family and the drama he'd gone through with them so far, Johnny figured it was definitely a safe bet to have a drink in hand whenever they were all gathered in one room.
