Cocaine remembered the moment vividly. He'd been a little boy, playing outside in Friedrich's small garden. Going outside of the fence had always been strictly forbidden, but climbing the oak tree and sitting astride its longest benches had never been against the rules. Coke had made a habit of it, sitting up there and watching the people of outer-Berlin walk by. He never failed to wonder what it was like outside of Friedrich's house; he never got to leave.
At least until the branch broke. Falling onto the sidewalk outside of the house hadn't done much for the young God's perspective of the outside world. He didn't remember much of the experience besides the crying and the pain, two things which he wasn't at all likely to admit to these days. Friedrich had collected him and taken him to the doctor where he'd had his arm set after an injection of bliss. That was what he remembered beyond all else. Beyond the pain and the embarrassment, Coke remembered the heaven that was his first interaction with one of his siblings. He'd felt the arms of a sister he wouldn't know for over a decade and he'd grown up, literally, in front of Friedrich's eyes.
He'd never missed that feeling of her arms-- but he'd had Heroin. Another Opiate. It was the same, better even. Coke needed that. He wasn't willing to call it an addiction, but he needed it and now that Heroin had turned his back on him he found himself paying a visit to his sister's office. He did dearly want to see her, because she was his sister, but she was also something so much more to him. He couldn't forget the beginning of his addiction, even if it was a controlling force that he was slowly coming to resent.
"I'm here to see Phaedra." He stopped at the reception desk only as a courtesy, practically ignoring whatever they had to say in response as he quickly continued walking back towards his sister's office. He didn't need to know where it was, he could feel her.
