Patience was never late. Ever. Everyone knew how much she loved waiting, so they wouldn't guess that she was that punctual of a person--but she loved waiting for the right time, not waiting to exceed that time.
And so, when she went to visit the oh-so-lazy one, it was no surprise that she was knocking on his apartment door the exact moment that she was supposed to arrive.
Patience knew that it probably wasn't a good idea to go to a man's apartment, or, rather, a Sin's apartment, alone, when she barely knew them, but he seemed so...helpless, in a way. They say the best way to help someone who suffers from a horrible case of sloth is to just leave them alone, because they’ll need something eventually, and when they realize no one is going to get it for them, they’ll have to get it for themselves. But what concerned Patience was that this wasn’t just someone who was being affected by sloth—it was Sloth himself, and she worried that if he needed something but didn’t want to get it, no matter how long he had to wait, he just wouldn’t get it.
So, was she encouraging a bad habit? Yes, in a way, but she didn’t feel guilty about it, because she figured it was better than letting him starve himself to death.
